Anxiety & Trauma Therapy for Women in Ontario

Anchor Point Therapy provides trauma-informed therapy for adults across Ontario. I specialize in anxiety therapy, trauma & EMDR therapy, and perinatal therapy, offering virtual sessions to help clients feel more grounded, connected, and supported.

Our Story.

Young woman sitting on a cream sofa in a bright living room, taking notes in a notebook with a pen while looking at her laptop placed on a coffee table.

Anchor Point Therapy was born out of growth - both in my work as a therapist and in the women I’ve had the privilege of supporting.

While my practice originally focused primarily on perinatal and postpartum mental health, over time it became clear that the challenges my clients were bringing into the room were broader and deeply interconnected. Anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, people-pleasing, grief, and major life transitions don’t exist in isolation or within one season of life. They show up across the lifespan, often shaped by past experiences and carried quietly for years.

As my work evolved, I wanted a practice name that reflected this depth and flexibility. A space that could hold women through many chapters, not just one.

The name Anchor Point Therapy reflects the heart of this work. An anchor point is something steady and grounding when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. It doesn’t stop the waves, but it offers stability, orientation, and a place to return to when everything feels unsteady. In therapy, that anchor might be understanding your patterns, reconnecting with your body, processing trauma, or learning to respond to yourself with more compassion.

This rebrand represents a clearer alignment with how I practice today: trauma-informed, relational, and focused on helping women feel more grounded, connected, and resilient, not just in crisis, but in everyday life.

Anchor Point Therapy is a space to pause, reflect, and find steadiness again, wherever you are in your journey.

Meet the Founder.

Hello and welcome! I’m Kate.

I’m a Toronto-based Registered Social Worker provding virtual therapy across Ontario. I help women who are navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, and major life transitions. Many of the clients I work with appear capable and high-functioning on the outside, while internally feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you’ve been carrying.

Clients often describe me as warm, grounding, and easy to talk to. I bring both compassion and practicality into our work together, blending emotional depth with evidence-based strategies that support real, sustainable change in daily life. While I have specialized training in perinatal and postpartum mental health, I work broadly with women experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, and identity shifts across the lifespan. I’m particularly drawn to supporting clients navigating perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship challenges, and the lingering impact of past experiences. My approach is trauma-informed and tailored to each client, because no two stories, or healing processes, are the same.

My passion for this work began early in my career while supporting pregnant and parenting adolescents in an intensive care setting. Since then, I’ve dedicated my practice to helping women move through difficult seasons with greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and resilience. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing clients heal from trauma, reconnect with themselves, and build lives that feel more aligned and sustainable.

Outside of my practice, I’m a wife, a pet mom, and the eldest of four siblings. I value movement, creativity, and connection, and I believe healing often happens both inside and outside the therapy room — through compassion, curiosity, and learning how to listen to yourself again. If you’re considering therapy and wondering if we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out.
