Who we work with at Anchor Point Therapy.
At Anchor Point Therapy, we work with women in York Region & across Ontario who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, and overwhelming life transitions. Our practice is designed for women who are ready to do the deep, transformative work of therapy - those who want to understand their anxiety, perfectionism, and people-peasing patterns at their roots.
This work isn’t always easy, but it’s powerful, lasting, and truly life-changing. If you’re ready for more than coping strategies or traditional talk therapy, you’re in the right place.

If you’re looking for more than just "coping strategies" or traditional talk therapy, you’re in the right place. I work best with clients who are motivated to look beneath the surface. Whether we’re navigating the identity shifts of perinatal and postpartum mental health or addressing long-standing trauma, we hold space for healing that is both powerful and lasting.

This work isn’t always easy, but it is life-changing. We move beyond the surface level to:
Explore the patterns that keep you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious in your daily life.
Gently process past experiences and trauma using evidence-based tools like EMDR.
Build somatic (body-based) tools for nervous system regulation and emotional resilience.
Navigate major life transitions with greater confidence, clarity, and self-compassion.
-
While our foundation began with a strong focus on perinatal support, Anchor Point Therapy now serves women across all life stages. We provide a specialized virtual space for women throughout Ontario to cultivate resilience through life’s many transitions, from career shifts to motherhood and beyond.
What services do we offer?
Individual Therapy
For women navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and overwhelm. We move beyond surface-level coping to deconstruct the patterns that leave you feeling stuck. Whether you are managing a major identity shift or struggling with people-pleasing, we help you build the emotional resilience needed to reclaim your sense of self.
Best for: High-functioning anxiety, setting firm boundaries, and navigating the pressure to "have it all together".
The Goal: To feel grounded, confident, and connected to yourself in your daily life.
Trauma Therapy
Moving beyond "coping" toward nervous system regulation. Trauma lives in the body, often showing up as a constant sense of unease. We provide a secure, non-judgmental "anchor point" to process past wounds and childhood experiences at a pace that honors your safety.
Best for: Relational wounds, childhood trauma, and breaking old survival cycles.
The Approach: Evidence-based integration of EMDR, CPT, parts-work, and nervous system regulation.
The Goal: To release the grip of the past and reclaim a sense of emotional freedom.
Perinatal Therapy
Support for the profound identity shift of motherhood. The transition to parenthood can bring unexpected stress, intrusive thoughts, and a disorienting loss of identity. We offer a soft place to land and practical tools to help you navigate the rawest chapters of pregnancy and postpartum with clarity.
Best for: Pregnancy anxiety, birth trauma, and the emotional "identity loss" of motherhood.
The Goal: To feel supported and present, allowing you to connect more deeply with yourself and your new role.
