Anxiety & EMDR Therapy for Women in York Region and Ontario

Helping women break old patterns, heal past wounds, and build lasting resilience.

Therapy for high-functioning women in their 20s and 30s who are tired of white-knuckling through anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. We move beyond surface-level coping to heal the root cause of your overwhelm using EMDR and nervous system regulation. Led by Kate Bailey, MSW, RSW.

At Anchor Point Therapy, we work with women in York Region & across Ontario who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, and overwhelming life transitions. Our practice is designed for women who are ready to do the deep, transformative work of therapy - those who want to understand their anxiety, perfectionism, and people-peasing patterns at their roots.

This work isn’t always easy, but it’s powerful, lasting, and truly life-changing. If you’re ready for more than coping strategies or traditional talk therapy, you’re in the right place.

Individual Therapy

For women navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and overwhelm. We move beyond surface-level coping to deconstruct the patterns that leave you feeling stuck. Whether you are managing a major identity shift or struggling with people-pleasing, we help you build the emotional resilience needed to reclaim your sense of self.

  • Best for: High-functioning anxiety, setting firm boundaries, and navigating the pressure to "have it all together".

  • The Goal: To feel grounded, confident, and connected to yourself in your daily life.

Trauma Therapy

Moving beyond "coping" toward nervous system regulation. Trauma lives in the body, often showing up as a constant sense of unease. We provide a secure, non-judgmental "anchor point" to process past wounds and childhood experiences at a pace that honors your safety.

  • Best for: Relational wounds, childhood trauma, and breaking old survival cycles.

  • The Approach: Evidence-based integration of EMDR, CPT, parts-work, and nervous system regulation.

  • The Goal: To release the grip of the past and reclaim a sense of emotional freedom.

Perinatal Therapy

Support for the profound identity shift of motherhood. The transition to parenthood can bring unexpected stress, intrusive thoughts, and a disorienting loss of identity. We offer a soft place to land and practical tools to help you navigate the rawest chapters of pregnancy and postpartum with clarity.

  • Best for: Pregnancy anxiety, birth trauma, and the emotional "identity loss" of motherhood.

  • The Goal: To feel supported and present, allowing you to connect more deeply with yourself and your new role.
